At Canadian Fingerprinting Services, we aim at offering efficient fingerprinting services to our clients in Toronto and the surrounding area. DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Yes, we are appointment based but also accept walk-ins.

Appointments will have priority over walk-ins. It's best to give us a call before coming in.

WHAT IS THE ELECTRONIC/DIGITAL FINGERPRINTING PROCESS?

This is a non-conventional process where we process the application on computer and then capture the fingerprints on the fingerprinting scanner. This information is then sent electronically or digitally via a secure link directly to RCMP’s Canadian Criminal Real Time Information System (CCRTIS). Then the application is processed by the RCMP’s Canadian Criminal Real Time Information System (CCRTIS) and the results are sent to the individual or the 3rd party as mentioned in the application.

WHAT IS THE PROCESSING TIME?

When the fingerprints are electronically submitted to RCMP, the application is processed and the results are sent in 5 to 7 business days through a regular mail, provided there is no match to an RCMP fingerprint criminal holding. In case there is a match to an RCMP criminal database holding, the processing time can extend up to or exceed 120 days.

HOW DO I VERIFY THE STATUS OF MY APPLICATION?

If your application has taken longer than the indicated time and if you require an update on the status of your application, please email RCMP at CCRTIS-SCICTR@rcmp-grc.gc.ca or give a call to 613-998-6362. Please provide only the following information when you are requesting for your application status.

DO YOU ALSO PROVIDE TRADITIONAL INK-BASED FINGERPRINTS?

Yes, we do provide traditional ink-based fingerprints if requested, or if the individual has the requirements for ink and roll fingerprints. We offer this service especially for clients sending their fingerprints overseas for their criminal background check.
